The GoneBioblitzin' Team..
Live to BioBlitz. When people ask where we have gone...? The answer is always, Gone BioBlitzin'! What is a bioblitz? A survey of all life in a given area for a given time. We travel to biodiverse areas of Australia and do exactly that, with all our observations going onto the online biodiversity platform, iNaturalist. We are Australia's top species observers on that platform, and together have over 320,000 observations of nearly 20,000 species in Australia. Have you ever wondered what species are present on your property? We have the capacity to conduct comprehensive* surveys, presenting them in accessible online projects, and beautifully photographing who we find. The GoneBioblitzin' team can facilitate your discovery of Australia's amazing biodiversity. In places such as The Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Sydney's Royal National Park, Coffs Harbour and The Gold Coast Hinterlands. Or perhaps to Australia's biodiversity hotspot, South West Western Australia.
Biodiversity Survey
Own a conservation property but don't know who lives there with you? Get us to your place for a bioblitz.
We are able to conduct thorough biodiversity surveys of private and public property. If you have ever wondered about plants and animals that could be found on your property, allow us to help you find who you are protecting on your property. Thorough bird surveys can be conducted both by photographic and call recording analysis. We are all twitchers who love the excitement of meeting the incredible avifauna of Australia. Between us we have seen nearly 500 species of birds in Australia. What exciting species live on your property?Above - Spotted Pardalote (@possumpete) -Melbourne
Often overlooked, Invertebrates are critically important as pollinators and as a base for the food chain. They make for incredible macro photographic subjects also. These smaller but often incredibly beautiful animals are mindboggling in their diversity. Moths often fly below the radar given their habit of flying at night - if the conditions are favourable, it would not be unusual to photograph over 100 species of moths alone at your property. Combined with beetles, bugs, spiders, hoppers, dragonflies, the list goes on - your species list will grow. Above: Southern Bracca - Bracca matutinata (@possumpete) -Coffs Harbour
Flora is a speciality for the GoneBioblitzin' team. We are skilled in botanical identification, with with close to 200,000 observations of 10,000 plants in Australia between us. Australia's botanical heritage. is one of the prize jewels on this continent. You will receive a thorough report detailing the floral and animal biodiversity we survey, with an easily navigatable project on the iNaturalist platform. Additionally, you will receive a folder of the best images we take, with assistance to produce beautiful artworks should you choose.
